Stepping in from the hum of Fitzroy Street, Abbiocco feels like an exhale. A warm and quietly expressive fitout that invites the mood to linger, from late afternoon antipasti to the last pour of wine.

Light filters through curved glass. Olive-hued columns anchor the space. Round timber tables echo the shape of wine bottles and shared plates, while terrazzo plinths and dark steel shelving add weight and rhythm to the interior’s gentle flow.

Overhead, globe pendants glow with a soft amber light. Bentwood chairs pull up to softly upholstered banquettes, framed by vertical panelling that brings texture and warmth. It’s the kind of setting where glasses clink, pasta is passed around the table, and hours stretch happily into the night.

Stepping in from the hum of Fitzroy Street, Abbiocco feels like an exhale. A warm and quietly expressive fitout that invites the mood to linger, from late afternoon antipasti to the last pour of wine.

In Balwyn Residence, sanctuary reveals itself in the most intimate spaces. The bathrooms invite pause, textured tiles and traditional joinery lending depth, tactility and quiet rhythm. Calm without coldness, they are spaces refined without excess, where ritual becomes restoration. Beyond the interiors, a Japanese-inspired garden unfolds with the same intention. Quarried stepping stones trace a path past a koi pond, each boulder placed with care, each detail a meditation on balance and flow.

Here, material precision meets natural stillness: veined stone, bespoke joinery, koi pond and quarried pathways woven together to create a home that feels both art and refuge.

A warm palette of walnut tones and golden undertones flows from the kitchen into the adjacent zones. The banquette seat curves gently into a custom dining nook, with tactile leather, fluted timber and sculptural lighting giving form to a small footprint. Softly tonal artwork sits above, anchoring the space with quiet presence.

In the living area, generous joinery and considered furnishings balance texture and function. Every element earns its place. The design favours long-term liveability, responding to the demands of inner suburban life with calm, clever solutions. The result is a home that feels settled and finely attuned to its purpose.
