Today I had Ronette's Mazda 3 Sp25 in for a fuel tank replacement due to a baffle coming loose inside the tank causing a racket ( Video in comments )and to replace the left hand side drive shaft seal due to a slight oil leak. Removed the fuel tank from the car and swapped over fuel pump to replacement tank then refitted. Then moved to the front and removed the lower control arm to give me enough room to pull drive shaft out to remove and replace the oil seal. Reassembled topped up gearbox with oil and then took it for a quick test drive. No more noise from the tank and oil leak fixed.

Today I had Aidan pickup his Ba Xr6 after it was tilt trayed to me last week with a severe grinding noise coming from the front right hand wheel.
After checking over the front end I found the lower ball joint had collapsed causing the lower control arm to scrap against the the brake rotor. So removed the control arm pressed out the old ball joint and fitted a new Ball joint. Then Replaced both front rotors and brake pads.
Test drove the car and all grinding noises are gone.

This morning I had Zoran bring in Toyota Hilux for a new pair of rear brake shoes.
Removed brake drums and inspected. Found to be in reasonable condition. Then removed old brake shoes and transferred all the hardware to the new shoes. Cleaned brake drums, backing plates and all other associated parts then reassembled and adjusted.

Something a little different in the workshop last week.
I had Bernie's 8x5 tandem trailer in for abit of TLC.
Replaced the brake master cylinder, topped up with fresh brake fluid then flushed the lines and bled any air out of the hydraulic brake system. Removed the wheel hubs, cleaned inspected and repacked bearings.
The chassis was showing signs of rust so before it got any worse I stripped back chassis rails including underneath then treated with a rust convertor, primed and sprayed rails in the original Machinery grey.

This morning I had Kate bring in her Mazda CX-5 for it's annual service. Changed engine oil and oil filter then topped up other fluids where required. Carried out a full inspection of the car and replaced the wiper blades.Thankyou for choosing Gazza's Garage Kate your support is appreciated 😊

First job of the day was Sherice's Mazda Cx-5 in for a brake inspection.
Checked all brake pads, Rotors and brake lines found all to be in great condition. Then Carried out a brake fluid moisture content test and found all ok.

Last job of the day was a quick onsite job in Cranbourne East to diagnose a no crank issue on Riley's Vw Golf Gti.
After a couple of basic checks I removed the air cleaner assembly to access the starter motor and checked if power was getting to the starter solenoid which it was. So the last thing in the starter curcuit is the starter motor itself. So removed the starter motor so it can be rectified by a Auto electrician.
