Kubung Primary School sits in the Northwest District of Botswana, close to MMG's Khoemacau copper mine.

Established in 2013 with support from the Chinese Embassy, the school has long been a vital part of the local community. When MMG acquired the Khoemacau operation in 2024, the team provided assistance with much-needed maintenance work at the school.

Last week, following a comprehensive refurbishment, the upgraded facility was officially handed back to the community. All 13 classrooms were revitalised, featuring new flooring, repaired roofs, functional air conditioning, and properly fitted doors. The kitchen, computer lab, teachers’ offices, and toilets were also fully restored.

The handover was officiated by China's Ambassador to Botswana, Mr. Fan Yong, with MMG Khoemacau's Director of Operations Xia Weiquan attending on behalf of the team.

For the students of Kubung Primary, the improvements provide a more comfortable learning environment. For MMG Khoemacau, the project reflects a commitment to making meaningful contributions to its neighbouring communities.

What does it actually take to turn climate ambition into action? That was the question at UNiting Business LIVE Australia 2026.

Across two days in Sydney, business leaders, directors and sustainability professionals came together ahead of COP31 to talk through the realities behind the commitments. Not just what needs to change, but how it happens.

Our Head of Sustainability, Fiona Sartain, joined a fireside chat - sharing what that looks like in practice at MMG. The balancing act, the progress, and the work that often sits behind the headlines.

At MMG, that work is already underway, from how we assess our impacts on nature at sites, to how we approach emissions management, and how we will partner with others to deliver change on the ground.

We're proud to share that MMG has been named a winner of the 9th NewFortune Best Investor Relations Award for Hong Kong Listed Companies.

Looking ahead, MMG remains focused on deepening communication with global investors and delivering sustainable growth and value for shareholders.

Thank you to the investors and analysts whose engagement makes this work meaningful.

A delegation from our MMG Kinsevere site in the DRC recently met with the Grand Chief of the Kasongo chiefdom, one of the traditional jurisdictions surrounding our operations.

Led by King Kalume - Stakeholder Engagement Manager, alongside Zhixun Qi - SSHEC Manager, and Aimé Césaire Mpwita - Stakeholder Relations Officer, the visit was a chance to sit down, listen and keep the dialogue going.

This is how relationships are built - through trust, mutual respect and ongoing engagement, not just formal moments.

Kinsevere’s operations are built on strong, day‑to‑day collaboration with local authorities and surrounding communities. By working hand in hand with the chiefdoms, contributing meaningfully through taxes, royalties and social development initiatives, Kinsevere actively supports the long‑term socio‑economic progress of the region.

Today is the United Nations International Day for Biological Diversity.

At MMG, that starts on the ground - understanding how our operations interact with nature, and what we need to change. Our Nature Strategy sets the direction: conserve biodiversity and work towards no net loss of nature by the time our sites close, relative to our 2020 baseline.

At our Rosebery site in Australia, we piloted our LEAP (Locate–Evaluate–Assess–Prepare) approach in 2025 - giving us a clearer view of how we depend on nature, how we impact it, and what to do next.

That approach is aligned with the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures - a global framework that helps businesses understand and report how they rely on and affect nature - bringing biodiversity into everyday decisions.

We are now rolling this out across our operations - our Kinsevere site in the DRC has just completed its own LEAP process, and by the end of 2026 every site will follow with their own comprehensive assessments.

Because days like today aren’t just about awareness - they’re a reminder that protecting biodiversity comes down to the choices we make every day, at every site.

Working across time zones isn’t just about systems and schedules - it’s about people who make it work. The Procurement Services team in Vientiane, Laos is a strong example of that every day.

They are worthy winners of the “We Work Together & We Respect Each Other” values award in MMG’s Working Together Global Recognition Program. The team consistently responds to requests with clarity and strong communication, often working outside normal hours due to time differences and still delivering on time. By openly sharing skills and experience, they have strengthened site capability and built deeper SAP knowledge across MMG.

The team shared: “We believe that strong service is built on people, disciplined processes and smart use of technology. By sharing knowledge and strengthening SAP capability across sites, we aim to unlock value for MMG and enable our stakeholders to focus on what matters most - safe and productive operations. This recognition reinforces that when we work together with respect and accountability, we deliver real impact globally.”

The metals we produce - copper, zinc, lead and precious metals - are essential to the energy transition.

But mining also comes with real environmental and social responsibilities. It’s a balance our people navigate every day and informs the decisions we make and the standards we hold ourselves to.

Our Sustainability Report 2025 shares how our teams navigated a year shaped by climate pressure, rising expectations and global uncertainty, while still making solid progress on what matters most: safety, climate and nature, strong governance, and genuine partnerships with communities.

Inside the report:
• What safety as our first value looks like in practice
• The steps we’re taking to strengthen climate readiness - from enterprise data to renewable energy studies at site level
• Refreshed climate strategy - including our ambition to be carbon neutral by 2040 (Scope 1 and 2)
• How we’re reshaping community partnerships through models built with, not for, communities

This report is not just about outcomes. It’s about how we operate, and the care and responsibility our people bring to that work every day.

Ten years ago, MMG and the Sustainable Minerals Institute at The University of Queensland agreed that independent research and real-world mining challenges belonged together. This week we marked that milestone - and committed to continuing our collaboration.

Mining is a complex business. The environmental, social and technical challenges we face are real, and there are rarely easy answers. What SMI has brought to MMG is rigorous, independent research that helps us understand those challenges and make better decisions.

Over the years, that's meant orebody assessments in remote Northern Canada, closure planning and community engagement at Rosebery, safety and high reliability work at Dugald River, advances in tailings and waste management, industry-wide mine rehabilitation through CRC TiME, and building the next generation of MMG leaders through our Senior Leadership Program with UQ.

Looking ahead, we're focused on stronger research partnerships in China, meaningful contribution to Botswana's development goals, and leading the adoption of new mining technologies - with UQ and SMI beside us.

Thank you to Professor Harrison, Professor Valenta, and Dr Bronwyn Battersby for your leadership and dedication to making this partnership work. Here's to the next chapter.
