This week, we came together for our National Reconciliation Week panel, taking time to listen, learn and reflect on what reconciliation means in our everyday work. Guided by this year’s theme, ‘All In’, our panel shared honest perspectives on:

• The progress of our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan
• The role of leadership and lived experience in shaping meaningful change
• How each of us can move beyond awareness to action
• The importance of elevating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices

One key theme shone through - reconciliation isn’t about a moment, it’s about turning commitment into action every day, together.

We’re often asked: what exactly is renewable gas?

In simple terms, it includes gases like biomethane and hydrogen that are produced from renewable sources. The exciting thing about biomethane is it’s a drop-in fuel – it can replace natural gas with no noticeable change and it’s also able to be used by existing infrastructure and appliances. It can flow through the pipes we use now and power industrial equipment with no upgrades needed.

Jemena was once again proud to support Cancer Council Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in May 💛
This year, our teams came together, both in person and virtually, to raise vital funds for people impacted by cancer. From Melbourne to Sydney, we shared morning tea while making a meaningful difference.

Every cup of coffee, every conversation and every contribution helps fund life-saving research, prevention programs and support services for Australians affected by cancer.

We recently brought our current graduate cohort together as part of our structured learning program to connect, learn, and reflect on how they show up and contribute.

A strong theme throughout the day was that capability is built through experience - getting close to the work, taking ownership, and building trust through consistent delivery. Graduates explored what it means to develop a personal brand grounded in authenticity, credibility and value, and how their actions shape how others experience them.

Our graduate program combines hands-on experience with targeted learning and development sessions like this one. It’s great to see this cohort already leaning in, supporting one another, and setting strong foundations for their careers at Jemena.

Jemena is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst – Gas Markets (14 month fixed term contract) - a great opportunity to join a collaborative, supportive team where your expertise will have real impact, partnering closely with both asset owners and service delivery teams to deliver strong financial outcomes.

In this role, you’ll provide end to end financial oversight of a key internal service delivery contract, contributing across reporting, forecasting and budgeting. You’ll translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights, strengthen processes and systems, and uplift financial capability across teams. With a strong focus on CAPEX governance and continuous improvement, you’ll play a key role in supporting informed, confident decision-making during an important period of change.

💡Keeping electricity reliable for our customers

There’s a lot happening across our electricity network to improve reliability for our 380,000+ customers in Melbourne’s north-west.

We’re replacing aging assets based on their condition, upgrading areas of the network where it’s needed most, and carrying out ongoing maintenance so we can respond faster when outages do occur. We’re also strengthening our vegetation management practices to help stop outages before they happen.

These upgrades are part of our commitment to deliver safe, reliable, and resilient energy to homes and businesses across our network.

Over the past year, Jemena graduate engineer Paige Sedgwick has balanced her role in our Gas Distribution team with a standout leadership experience through the AgShows NSW Young Women Program - a journey that has shaped her confidence, communication and leadership skills alongside her technical development.

Based in our Sydney office, Paige progressed from being named Young Woman winner at the Cootamundra Show, through a zone final to the ACCIONA Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman Competition State Final at the Royal Easter Show.

Throughout the program, Paige engaged with regional communities and agricultural leaders, explored different leadership styles, and contributed to conversations about the future of agriculture, including the role biomethane and renewable gas could play in building a more sustainable sector.

Her experience reflects what we aim to offer our graduates at Jemena: flexibility, real‑world learning, and support to bring your whole self to work, while contributing to the communities we serve and the energy transition ahead.
