📍About the role:
You will support production teams during hot seat changeovers, help with basic operational tasks and learn from experienced operators in a safe, well-structured environment.

📍What you need:
A strong safety mindset, reliability and a willingness to learn. Standard 11 is desirable but not essential.

Our Aquila Mine has chipped in a sweet $1,566 to QFES Middlemount Branch all thanks to our Containers for Change initiative.

This donation will help keep the annual Christmas lolly drop rolling through Middlemount, where Santa and local emergency crews cruise through town sprinkling joy (and lollies!) to Middlemount kiddos.

Launched in February, our Containers for Change program is all about reducing waste on site while giving back to the community. Every container recycled helps make a positive impact – both for the environment and for local families.

Big thanks to our Aquila team for making life a little sweeter this festive season. 💚♻️

There’s something special happening between Aquila and Capcoal.

Two of our mines rescue teams - from Aquila Underground and Capcoal Open Cut - are proving that when experience meets fresh perspective, everyone benefits.

In a recent joint training session, the teams came together to share skills, build confidence and strengthen their emergency response capabilities. With Capcoal’s team bringing over 30 years of experience, and Aquila’s team bringing new energy and drive, it’s a powerful partnership that’s building capability not just for our sites, but for the broader industry and community.

This collaboration is about more than just training - it’s about mentorship, teamwork and a shared commitment to safety.

And with the Queensland Mines Rescue Service surface competition happening this weekend, it’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate the strength of unity and shared commitment to mines rescue. Good luck to all the teams competing!
