Electrifying news! Today, the SEC announced it has purchased the Delburn Wind Farm, with construction commencing in early 2026. In addition to producing clean energy and reducing carbon emissions, it will create over 300 new local jobs and share $22M in neighbour & community benefit programs over the life of the wind farm. ⚡️💙 🌿⚡️
We are excited to announce that we will deliver Victoria’s first publicly owned, utility-scale wind generation project with our 100% acquisition of the Delburn Wind Farm in Gippsland.
Located just south of the Latrobe Valley – the historical heart of Victoria’s integrated power system – the project is set to bring major benefits to the region delivering up to 205 MW of capacity to the grid and creating more than 300 local jobs.
With construction to begin in early 2026, the 33-turbine wind farm will generate up to 205-megawatts of renewable energy to the electricity grid, or enough to power more than 130,000 homes, once operational in 2028.
