If we’ve been a touch quiet on the ‘gram lately, it’s because we’ve been head-down doing what we do best: helping communities, schools, and businesses turn waste streams into tangible solutions.

Case in point 🤓 The *incredible* crew over at Camberwell Girls Grammar School.
Everybody's fav facilitator, Bill, dropped in recently to speak at their Beyond Net Zero Network event, and the CGGS students have also been putting our micro-recycling machinery to work full-tilt - during Environment Week, student teams worked to transform everyday locally collected plastic waste into a variety of useful items, and even custom art pieces.

Huge thanks to CGGS for championing sustainability in education and leading by example 💚

Did you know your soda machine bottles have an expiration date? 🤯

Once these bottles reach their limit, they can no longer safely handle the pressure of carbonation. And if your expired bottle is marked with a #7 (Other), it isn't accepted in your kerbside bin - and without specialised recycling, is destined for landfill.

Rather than letting these high-quality vessels go to waste, we’re putting their engineering back to work. At PPM, we're repurposing expired #7 bottles as transport and pouring vessels for plastic flake during our mobile recycling workshops. It’s a simple way for us to operate more responsibly by utilising the resources that already exists.

Can you help? If you have an expired bottle:
1️⃣ Check the code - we accept #7 SodaStream/machine bottles
2️⃣ Prep - bottles must be perfectly clean and completely dry
3️⃣ Book - schedule a drop-off time via the link below
4️⃣ Drop-off - deliver your bottles at your booked time to our Mitcham HQ

A quick heads up! We have a fixed capacity for these vessels and are committed to ensuring we don’t accept more than we can effectively utilise. We'll update this post and close the calendar as soon as we’ve reached our limit.
