All jokes aside, this is what a lot of our subfloor installs actually look like.

Crawling through dirt, mud, spider webs, tight access points and low-clearance subfloors isn’t everyone’s idea of a good use of the weekend.

There’s a reason most customers choose installation rather than tackling it themselves.

We’ve been crawling under houses for over 15 years, and while the results are worth it, it’s definitely not the glamorous side of ventilation!

If you’d rather stay out of the subfloor and leave the sore backs and aching knees to us, we’re happy to help.

Not all ventilation products are easy to buy off the shelf... sometimes you need to make them!

100mm y-pieces have always been difficult to source, and we’re fairly sure no one moulds them as you only ever find them in metal.

Our 3D printers have been working overtime producing custom splitters and fittings for upcoming projects — and honestly, we can’t keep them on the shelf!

Having in-house 3D printing gives us the flexibility to create custom solutions, solve installation challenges, and keep jobs moving without waiting on hard-to-find parts.

It’s amazing how often a simple custom fitting can be the difference between a good installation and a great one.

It’s been a massive week for the online store, so we thought we would have some fun with the last one out the door today.

Why heat one room when you can share it throughout the house? 🔥

We’ve just received a fresh shipment of DVS EC Heat Transfer Fans and they’re already heading back out the door.

A properly designed heat transfer system takes the excess warmth from areas like your living room or wood heater and redistributes it to colder parts of the home — helping bedrooms and back rooms feel warmer and more comfortable.

Some of the biggest benefits of a quality heat transfer system:
• Make better use of heat you’ve already paid for
• Reduce reliance on additional heaters in bedrooms
• More even temperatures throughout the home
• Extremely quiet EC motor operation
• Low running costs and high efficiency
• Adjustable airflow and variable speed control
• Ideal for homes with fireplaces, wood heaters or sunny living areas

Not all heat transfer systems are equal though. Duct quality, fan design and proper layout make a massive difference to real world performance.

Our DVS EC systems use premium ebm-papst EC motors and high quality insulated duct to minimise heat loss and maximise comfort. 🔥

Andrew and Shane are smashing out two jobs together today ⚡️

First up was a 3 fan subfloor ventilation system in Meroo Meadow, improving airflow right where it matters most and helping tackle moisture before it becomes a bigger issue. There were two parts to the house and we wanted to ventilate both. One section only had access to exhaust right at the front door — not ideal — so the boys took their time underneath, removed a brick or two and managed to get both exhaust points out the back of the home instead of into a high traffic area. Proper planning and experience make all the difference in getting a clean result.

Then it was straight over to Moss Vale for a slightly tricky Silvento installation. Tight spaces and challenging installs are all part of the fun.

26/05/2026

Final push on this big Mosman project today, with Shane, Andrew and Cam onsite working through the final laundry list of tasks.

Connecting ductwork, installing condensate drains, fitting internal grilles and vents, wiring up controls, and finally — getting everything powered ⚡️

Projects like this involve a huge amount of planning and coordination behind the scenes, but seeing all the systems come together at the end makes it worthwhile. Multiple ventilation systems, dehumidification, subfloor extraction and decentralised fresh air systems — all working together to help keep this home dry, healthy, and comfortable long term.

The 3D printers have been running overtime this weekend. We’ve got a number of custom LUNOS ventilation jobs coming up over the next few weeks, and once again we’re reminded just how valuable 3D printing has become for our installs.

From awkward spaces and unusual wall constructions to neat adaptors and custom mounting solutions, 3D printing allows us to overcome installation complexities that would otherwise be difficult, time consuming, or simply impossible with off-the-shelf components.

The ability to design and produce custom parts in-house means cleaner installs, better finishes, and more flexibility on site — especially when working with premium decentralised ventilation systems like LUNOS.

22/05/2026

The 3D printer has been working overtime lately pumping out custom fittings, brackets and ventilation components for our installs — so we’ve officially added a second machine to keep up with demand.

From one-off problem solving on site to custom ducting transitions and neat finishing details, having in-house printing gives us the flexibility to create solutions tailored to each project rather than forcing a “close enough” fit.

The new machine is already hard at work. More capacity, more customisation, and even more neat solutions coming soon.

Damp, musty smells under your home aren’t something to ignore. Poor subfloor ventilation can lead to mould growth, timber decay, condensation, and long-term structural damage.

At Fresh Ventilation, we specialise in premium ducted subfloor ventilation systems using high-performance Australian-made inline centrifugal fans, ducting and components.

By creating true crossflow ventilation, our systems actively remove stale, moisture-laden air and replace it with fresh outside air where it’s needed most.

With over 15 years of hands-on installation experience, Australian-made components, and German ebm-papst motors, our systems are designed for quiet, efficient, long-term performance.
