The V4 wireless remote controlled solar roof fan has just been released. This unit carries all the updates made to the V3 wireless version unit and now we have added last remote setting memory after dark, rust treated steel components and the new mould reduction function.
The wireless remote controls the fan speed 1/4,1/2,3/4 and full speed (default). You can also force the unit on when the temperature is below 25°C, set timers and turn the unit off.
Combining the unit with the optional AC power pack allows the fan to keep running after dark or when the sun's output level is too low. When the power pack is connected solar power still takes priority when available and the power pack is only for backup and night time running. This switching between Solar and the AC back up power takes place automatically.
The V4 unit also continues to use the MMPT controlled motor for smooth speed increases and decreases when clouds go by.
The non remote control roof fan has also been updated to V4, now featuring rust-treated steel components.
