Hey folks, We are looking for Expressions of Interest for people who would like to embark on a Tiny Home building project of their own.
I am one of the founders of Made By Bare. We are currently transitioning toward a not for profit, member led cooperative in pursuit of new ways that we can serve the people who need housing most. We hope to experiment with a new self help housing model that will allow participants to build their own home alongside other people on similar journeys.
Our workshop space in Moruya is the perfect spot to embark on a mutual self-help building project. Whether it's a tiny home, bus, or van, we have everything you need.
Our workshop is equipped with top-notch tools and resources including forklifts, scissor lifts, and a full-scale joinery workshop and steel fabrication station, all conveniently under one roof. Whether you're a seasoned DIY enthusiast or a novice builder looking to gain the skills it takes to build a home, we're here to help you every step of the way.
Don't worry if you're new to building—We are all about skills sharing and also offer affordable support and advice to ensure your project is a success. We're excited to welcome individuals who are eager to explore a new approach to tiny home building.
Spaces range from 50 to 400 square meters, and we offer flexible rental options tailored to your needs. Our premises are safe, secure, and foster an inclusive, empowering culture.

Morning views over the Deua river! ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This tiny A-Frame bedroom was a really fun project to design and build! As its footprint is so small, we were able to perch it up high on the bank for epic views of the river below. Cladded in recycled timber palings, it blends perfectly into the surroundings of the South Coast. The space is cosy and intimate, and perfect for a memorable night or two in nature.

Standing in the loft bedroom of our Ningaloo cabin gives you a whole different vantage point. Using a CNC machine to manufacture our designs has so many advantages and allows us to strive towards our sustainability goals here at Made By Bare. We are able to minimise the waste created by careful planning of how each sheet is cut, even though each Tiny Home is completely customisable. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​On top that, we're always thinking of creative ways to use any excess offcuts to keep our materials in circulation. Looking forward to sharing with you some of our projects using these odd-bits!

Excited to see what these colours and shapes will look like in the desert!

The breakfast bar and loft ladder are made from recycled Sydney Blue Gum. The floors are recycled brush box from thorsrecycled and the ceilings, and external walls are salvaged fence palings of mixed Australian Hardwood.
