An opportunity exists for someone to join our team as a CNC Machinist in a Full Time position. Hours will be Monday to Friday dayshift.
Our workshop is located in Morwell and is a family owned and operated manufacturing business, with a commitment for ‘Quality Products Made Locally’.
The role will include:
• Program, set up, and manage CNC Milling & Lathe machines
• Advanced CNC operating (mill/turn)
• Ensure machining process results align with product specifications
• Maintain efficient machine operation and adhere to production schedules
• Improve machine cycle times, procedures, and quality
• Implement preventative maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting components to uphold functionality and reduce machine downtime
• Perform machine changeovers, including cutting tooling changes, material loading, bar feeder setup, and confirming/testing program details
• Utilise CNC software; CAD/CAM programming experience is preferable
To be successful you will need:
• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (preferred)
• Technical knowledge or experience with setting, programming and operating CNC machines, ensuring production efficiency
• Ability to read and follow engineered drawings & follow work instructions
• Computer literacy & Exposure to quality systems
• Current Forklift Licence
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Can manage workload in a time critical environment
• Have strong attention to detail and follow the quality procedures in place
• Personal drive to work and learn, be flexible to assist others
• A strong work ethic and be physically fit
• Good communication skills and a Team Player
• Be reliable and be able to work unsupervised
