🚨 2025 Minerals Council of Australia Victorian Mine Rescue

Competition Over the weekend, the Victory Minerals Emergency Response Team proudly took part in the 2025 Victorian Mine Rescue Competition—what an incredible event to be part of!

Out of 10 competing teams across 7 challenging scenarios, we’re excited to share the following VM ERT results:
🥇 1st Place – Ropes Rescue
🥈 2nd Place – Fire Fighting, Underground Search & Rescue, Team Captain
🥉 3rd Place – Overall Safety, Spence Herd

What stood out most was the camaraderie and shared purpose among everyone involved. While it was a competition, the real value came from collaboration—sharing skills, techniques, and experiences with other mine rescue teams. At the end of the day, if an emergency occurs, we’ll likely be responding together.

A huge thank you to the Minerals Council of Australia for supporting such a worthwhile event—and well done to our team. We couldn’t be prouder. 👏💪

Recognising Our Team at Victory Minerals 🎉

At Victory Minerals, safety is a core value. Through our Safety Initiative Program, we recognise team members who take proactive steps to improve workplace safety.

Today, we’re celebrating Josh, our December 2024 Safety Award recipient!

Josh identified an opportunity to enhance our cleaning practices by suggesting the use of H Class vacuums, helping to reduce airborne dust and improve air quality across the site. His initiative has led to the introduction of multiple units, ensuring a safer and healthier work environment for everyone.

As a recognition of his leadership and commitment to workplace safety, Josh has been awarded the Safety First Hard Hat—a symbol of proactive safety culture at Victory Minerals.

At Victory Minerals, our Processing Plant is crucial for accessing the gold locked inside raw ore ✨

Here’s how it works:
🔹 Crushing & Grinding: Ore is broken down to free gold particles from within the rock.
🔹 Extraction: Advanced techniques like flotation and leaching are used to extract gold.
🔹 Responsible Management: Tailings (by-products) are safely managed in our on-site facilities.

From electronics to medical devices and beyond, gold’s versatility makes it an invaluable resource in everyday life.

🚧 What’s Happening Now?

Our Processing Plant Maintenance Crew is hard at work on a Detox Tank Refurbishment Project. These tanks are essential for detoxifying tailings, ensuring the process is safe and efficient.

✅ Progress So Far:
- One tank fully refurbished and operational 🎉
- Two tanks are nearing completion 🚧

These upgrades ensure that we’re not just accessing gold but doing so responsibly, sustainably, and efficiently. 🌿⚙️

Our Emergency Response Team (ERT) continues to set the standard in professionalism and dedication!

Recently, our team partnered with the ERT from Stawell Gold Mine for joint training exercises on our Tailings Storage Facility (TSF).

🌟 This collaborative effort highlights the commitment of our team members to ensuring safety and preparedness across every aspect of our operations. Together, the teams tackled simulated scenarios, exchanged knowledge, and strengthened their skills to respond effectively to any situation. 💪
