The The Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference kicks off next week. Held every three years since 1970, it’s set to welcome over 1,000 delegates in Adelaide.

At Acacia Energy, we recognise that peak energy demands during vintage can significantly drive cost pressures for winemakers.

Here’s how we’ve helped three producers slash their overheads and boost sustainability:
🍇 Yering Station added 140 kW of solar PV to their existing 100kW of solar, plus a 550 kVA biodiesel generator. That not only ensures continuous operation through outages but also unlocks revenue by selling surplus electricity via our Optimisation and Bid Engine platform.

🍇 De Bortoli Wines installed a 100 kW ground-mounted solar system, achieving a 60% cut in grid energy use, saving over $40,000 annually, and reducing CO₂ emissions by 139 tonnes per year.

🍇 Andrew Peace Wines deployed a 1 MW solar array alongside three 500 kVA biodiesel generators, delivering $710,000 in annual energy savings and cutting grid dependency by 42% in year one of operation.
