Having a heart makes a difference
Hi Steve,
My name is Peter and I’m the guy who had lost his wallet In Bunnings car park last night I’m writing to thank you for your kindness and to apologise my wife just told me that you had offered to give us $50 so that we could have our coffee I am quite deaf and I didn’t hear the whole of what you said.
There are good people in the world and you are definitely one of them.
My wife remembered your name and business from the signage on your vehicle.
Our good news is that I contacted Bunnings this morning and asked if they could see on their surveillance cameras whether I’d left it on the counter she was able to tell me that I walked out of there with my wallet in my hand and that I hadn’t put it on the roof of my car. From that I figured that I must have put it on my lap as I drove to Lismore Square to meet my wife for coffee and dropped it as I got out of the car, so I came over to the Square and it was found by the cleaners near the car park entrance and left it with the office. It was all intact apart from $50 missing. That wasn’t near where I’d parked so I assume that someone picked it up took the cash and tossed it near the entrance.
Small change compared to the stress of A) knowing that someone had my identity pension card, licence, credit cards, Medicare card etc and 😎 The cost and inconvenience of replacing all of the above.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for your concern and help.
We just wish that we knew of you when we had some plastering done at our place by a team who charged like a wounded bull, didn’t finish the job as we asked they left telling me that I had to do the cornices myself as they don’t do them.
We will most definitely recommend you to anyone who asks about plastering.
I noticed that your phone number 6629 is if I’m not mistaken is a Goolmangar number, we are at Jiggi so maybe near neighbours! 😊
Best regards,
Peter and Maureen
