This week, Boral was proud to support the RYDA road safety program as part of National Road Safety Week, participating in workshops and sessions held across the country.

Delivered in partnership with Road Safety Education, the program equips young drivers with practical skills and real-world insights to help them stay safe on our roads.

Across sessions in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, our teams were on the ground sharing their experience and helping students better understand how to safely interact with heavy vehicles and make safer decisions behind the wheel.

Some careers begin with a job application.
Others begin with a childhood memory.

When Nathan Standing was seven years old, he visited a concrete plant with his dad, who spent 40 years working at Boral. Years later, Nathan walked through Boral’s doors himself, starting his own career at the Coffs Harbour plant.

When he told his father he’d been offered the role, his response was simple and unforgettable: “Welcome to the family.”

Today, Nathan is Production Supervisor at Seaham Quarry, leading teams with a strong focus on safety, learning and looking out for one another. His story is about more than career progression. It’s about pride in work that matters, responsibility for people, and carrying something forward from one generation to the next.
