This is the best part...

Watching one of our builds out there doing exactly what it was built to do.

We posted the walkaround of this one a couple of weeks ago. This is one of our custom tray builds paired with a Wedgetail Campers | Australian made and owned slide on camper, for remote touring.

We gave this build all the fruit. It turns heads on the blacktop, but out in the bush is where it really shines.

Its already picked up a few scratches and a whole lot of red dirt...and we love to see it!

There's more to a ute conversion than hitting it with a grinder.

We strip it back, measure and remeasure everything, make the cut then start building it back so it looks like it was always meant to be that way.

Here's a look at the first stages of this 100 Series transformation. There will be more to come as this one takes shape.

Snaps from the Oombi.

We took on the Oombulgurri track early in the dry season this year. It's known as one of Australia's most remote and toughest 4WD tracks.

Let me tell you, that place is the literal Wild West...and it didn't go easy on us.

The long river crossings, building out tracks, rain that wasn't on the forecast and a sh*t tonne of black soil...there was a bit going on.

We ended up flooded in, spent days digging cars out of the black soil and finding alternative routes to get out. Oombi definitely kicked our butts.

But the trusty Patrol was built for exactly this type of trip and it came out the other side surprisingly unscathed.

What an epic place.

Too flash for the bush.

But that's exactly where it's headed.

The tray sides come off, the slide-on camper goes on, and this rig disappears into remote Australia.

This tray will see some things.

Full touring spec. Honestly, we're struggling to think of a feature we left out.
