PETRO Industrial manufactured nine low-profile, 1,000-litre safe-fill generator skid tanks for a large-scale data centre project in Darwin.

The tanks are supplied from a central 68,000-litre bulk fuel tank—but providing the storage infrastructure was only the beginning.

Every six months, the stored diesel is circulated and tested to help confirm that the fuel and supporting infrastructure remain ready when needed.

A VERY GOOD PROBLEM TO HAVE! 😅👏

Our team has built this test station using the iPETRO Gateway, PETRO Filters, and our Fuel Cleanliness monitoring technology.

The goal? Use lower-quality fuel to test how effectively the system detects and reports contamination.

The problem? Our PETRO Filters are doing such an amazing job of capturing the particles that there is barely anything left for the Fuel Cleanliness system to detect!

In fact, during our testing, the PETRO Filters have outperformed the comparison filters trialled so far.

It may be slowing down our testing—but when the reason is that the fuel keeps coming out too clean, we’re certainly not complaining!
