Machine Operator / Warehouse Store person
Business Overview:
AFT is a Family-owned business supplying speciality adhesive backed Foam, Rubber and Tape products into Australian, New Zealand and Southeast Asian markets. We supply into a wide range of industries, including ASX listed companies through to one-man operations.
Core Duties:
• Working closely with factory and sales personnel, including some customer contact. The role is broad based including general warehouse duties and operation of our slitting machines, and data entry to computer systems.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Accepting delivery of inventory / Receipting inwards goods.
• Picking and preparation of daily orders to be dispatched.
• Maintain a clean and well organised work environment.
• Unloading and loading of trucks and containers using a forklift.
• Daily freight bookings.
• Machine operations - Organising and prep of daily customers order and cutting of materials.
The successful candidate will be given training on our complete product range and the manufacturing processes.
Salary Package:
• Negotiable plus super.
• Hours 8am – 4.30pm Mon-Fri (no weekends or overtime)
• 4 Weeks annual leave.
• Performance bonuses – based on sales targets.
Skills required:
Each day is different in this working environment.
Candidates should -
• Be self-motivated and self-managed.
• Be able to analyse and problem solve.
• Possess a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised.
• Demonstrate a level of technical and machine operational experience.
• Have a high level of English written and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to utilise computer systems – with competent levels/exposure to Microsoft Word and Xcel.
• Exposure to Dear/Cin7 inventory management is desired but not essential.
• Be willing to work to deadlines.
• Hold a current Vic driver’s license and forklift license or have exposure to using walkie-stackers.
• Be able to read customer orders and pick, pack and prep. ready for despatch.
*Some heavy lifting may be involved.
