We've been working to break into sports courts for a while. This was the one that got us there.

MAN Civil delivered our first half court contract for the at Axedale Park - a blue acrylic-coated, line-marked concrete slab with a combined basketball and soccer unit, a netball post, perimeter chain-link fencing, and bench seating. Civil construction covers a lot of ground, and recreational infrastructure is a legitimate part of that scope. Our crew built this one properly and had a good time doing it.

Axedale already had barbecues, picnic facilities, a junior skate park, and a playground. Now it's got a court too.

Civil construction is built on details - how crews work together, how contractors are coordinated, and how work is delivered consistently on site with safety and environmental impacts considered.

This is what that looks like for MAN Civil: local teams, trusted subcontractors, and a shared focus on getting the fundamentals right across roads, paths and public infrastructure throughout the region.

Palm Springs Road, Ravenhall - an urbanisation project delivered for the City of Melton

Originally commenced on 26.05.2025, this project required careful coordination after existing services were found to conflict with the original design, placing the works on hold while a redesign was developed.

During this period, our team worked closely with council to identify assets, provide service information, and support a revised solution. Once approved, works recommenced (11.08.2025) and the project was delivered through to practical completion on 7.10.2025.

A strong example of collaboration and problem-solving, with MAN Civil able to repurpose materials already on site and deliver the landscaping scope in-house, achieving cost efficiencies while maintaining quality outcomes.

Project scope
▪️80m of 300mm RCP stormwater
▪️Grated side entry pits and Class D pits
▪️165m² of new footpath
▪️Industrial crossover with stormwater drainage
▪️318m kerb and channel
▪️318m deeplift asphalt infill
▪️Linemarking and road signage
▪️Full landscaping package, including planting, hydro mulching, hydro seeding and ongoing maintenance

The people building this infrastructure are part of the same communities that use it.

At MAN Civil, our crews work on the roads, paths and intersections they drive through, walk past and rely on every day. That local connection shapes how we approach our work - with care for the details, respect for the impact on neighbours, and pride in delivering infrastructure that genuinely serves the community.
