📸 Site Photo of the Week | Keeping Critical Infrastructure Projects Moving

Progress on major infrastructure projects relies on strong collaboration between design, construction and commissioning teams.

This week, David was onsite at a regional water treatment plant, supporting construction activities as the project advances towards energisation.

His work included inspecting incoming metering panels, the main switchboard, MCC and switching panels, as well as reviewing metallic pipework earthing requirements. He also prepared redline markups on construction drawings to provide clear guidance for the construction team and help ensure site works align with the approved design.

Our team recently brought the Mylestom Sewer Pump Station online, completing comprehensive commissioning and validation of the station's automation, control, and communications systems.

From RTU and SCADA verification through to pump operation, dosing systems, alarms, control sequences, instrumentation, and communications, every critical function was tested end-to-end to ensure reliable, automated operation from day one.

🚀 Major Milestone Achieved at Glen Innes Water Treatment Plant

Last week we successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the new PLC control panel that will form the foundation of the Glen Innes Water Treatment Plant Control System Upgrade.

This milestone represents the culmination of months of engineering, software development, panel manufacturing and testing. With the FAT now complete, attention turns to the site cutover and commissioning activities scheduled in just two weeks' time.

This upgrade is more than a hardware replacement. It is a significant step forward in modernising the plant's control systems, providing a platform that is ready to support increased automation, improved operational visibility, and the future deployment of an Ignition SCADA system.

Looking forward to the next chapter as we bring the new system online.

💧 Keeping Critical Water Infrastructure Connected

One of our engineers recently travelled to regional Queensland to deliver communications, networking, and SCADA improvements at a water treatment plant.

The work focused on restoring alarm notifications, strengthening network security, removing redundant equipment, and providing operational SCADA support to site personnel. Secure remote access was also implemented, with opportunities identified for future automation improvements.
