𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄?

The federal government has announced it will expand the small-scale solar rebate to cover commercial systems up to 1 MW — ten times the current 100 kW limit.

From 1 October 2026, subject to final regulations, mid-sized commercial solar systems are expected to qualify for an upfront rebate of around 20% of installed cost. Until now, businesses installing systems above 100 kW received no upfront rebate at all.

For Tasmanian businesses with high daytime energy use — cold storage, processing, manufacturing, hospitality, agriculture — this changes the numbers considerably.

Meet Samara, our General Manager ~ the steady hand and thoughtful mind behind so much of what keeps Expert Energy Tasmania running smoothly. Outside of work, she’s all about balance: time with friends and family, tending to her garden, baking with her little one and squeezing in a gym session whenever she can. That drive for growth and constant refinement shows up in everything she does — knowing perfection isn’t the goal, but improvement always is.

With experience across hospitality, agriculture and small‑business ownership, Samara brings a deep understanding of people, service and teamwork to our leadership team.
