With ventilators in dangerously short supply during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hunter doctors and engineers have teamed up to make their own. In a small workshop in Islington, they’ve built a prototype, to be shipped off to some of the world’s most vulnerable countries.

The Spark Vent is an open-source ventilator design from a group of friends mostly from Sparkhaus Studio Makerspace in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Our team is a mix of doctors, engineers, mechanics, and designers all working with one intent – to help.
Feel free to share; this is an open source project. Behind the project is a crack team of an array of engineers, mechanics, and an anaesthetist.
