Western Australia Tour 2026

The Challenge spent two incredible weeks in Bunbury and Perth, engaging more than 2,000 students across the state.

Over the 8 Challenge Days, Hale School achieved the highest score in the state with 1464.53 points and has been invited to compete at the National Final this October. Congratulations!

In Bunbury, two Discovery Days were also delivered, giving Year 5 and 6 students the opportunity to explore hands-on STEM activities and enjoy an exciting science show. 🧪🧪

A huge thank you to the Western Australian Rotary Clubs, Universities and industry partners whose support made the event possible!

It’s National Volunteer Week - the perfect time to celebrate the incredible people who help shape the next generation.

With just two staff members supporting up to 250 students at each challenge event, our volunteers are absolutely vital to our success.

From setting up events to leading activities, answering student questions, and bringing the energy - our volunteers make it all possible. We truly couldn’t do this without you!

In 2025 alone, 3,126 volunteers contributed an amazing 20,319 hours across the country.

TASMANIA TOUR 🚀

The Tasmania tour has officially kicked off this week in Hobart! Over the next three weeks, 48 schools in the state will take part in the challenge, with a state final taking place on June 2nd.

This National Careers week, we are here to show you that STEM isn’t just scientists and engineers.. it’s also chefs, fashion designers and fitness instructors. 🧑‍🍳🏋️‍♀️👨‍🎨

At the Challenge, students develop skills in STEM that can be used in any career they are inspired to pursue.

The van rolled south this April, delivering a series of Challenge & Discovery Days across the ACT, Griffith, and Wagga Wagga 🚐

A massive congratulations to the 1000+ students who got hands-on, took on the challenges, and grew their STEM skills along the way!

How can we equip students to design solutions for a more sustainable world?

At the Challenge, every STEM activity is designed with sustainability at its core.

From using recyclable materials to create wind turbines for renewable energy, to exploring First Nations sustainability practices through Fish Traps.

We’re here to help students think like scientists and engineers, whilst learning how to care for the planet they’re shaping.
