The National Science and Engineering Challenge

The National Science and Engineering Challenge Challenging students to build a future in science and engineering! THIS PAGE IS MONITORED DAILY.

A nation-wide day competition that takes students out of the classroom for an exhilarating day of creativity and discovery. Students participate in hands-on activities that CHALLENGE traditional stereotypes of what it is to be a scientist or engineer. Through the Challenge, students experience an aspect of Science and Engineering which they would not usually see in their school environment!! Wadeye, here we come!

In collaboration with The Wollotuka Institute and the SMART Program, the National Science and Engineering Challenge team is heading to Wadeye in the Northern Territory to work alongside students, teachers and the wider community.

This project has been months in the making, and we’re incredibly excited to finally bring it to life!

We’ll be delivering hands-on STEM experiences for primary and high school students, in collaboration with Wadeye’s Sea Farmers and Traditional Owners. Together, we hope to spark curiosity, encourage students to explore STEM and inspire a long-term interest in science and engineering.

Most importantly, we’re looking forward to learning from the community, sharing knowledge and building something together.
