Through the New Education and Training Model (NETM), TAFE NSW is offering a new, 2023 round of micro-credentials in Technical Drawings. Both courses are part-time, online and last eight weeks.
Course 1 - Introduction to Technical Drawings - will provide fundamental comprehension and application of AS 1100 Part 101: General principles. Participants will develop and apply their knowledge and skills in technical drawing, including projection, views, drawing symbols, surface texture, measurement, tolerancing and fits, and datum points. Formative and summative assessment approaches will be included to demonstrate proficient comprehension and application of AS 1100 terminology.
Start dates are: May 1, 2023; July 24, 2023; October 9, 2023. The study commitment is two to three hours per week.

Course 2 - Create Technical Drawings - focuses on translating engineering intent into compliant technical drawings in accordance with AS 1100.101-1992 (R2014) Technical drawing - General principles. Drawings will be completed using AutoCAD.
Start dates are: July 24, 2023; September 19, 2023; October 9, 2023. The study commitment is five hours per week.
