Competing in the NEXUS: 2019 Jiangsu-Victoria Startup Summit in Nanjing was a truly amazing experience.

WINNING THIRD PLACE... was a great validation of Trusted Food Group's vision, pitch and plan to positively impact the Australian wine industry and transform the wine landscape in China.

Trusted Food Group was the only 'pre-money' startup to win a place, competing against multi-million dollar funded 'startups'.

The effort and imagination behind the summit by ACASE, City of Melbourne, Runway Geelong and our friends in Jiangsu was fantastic and very much appreciated.

Apart from the validation such an award brings, seeing Nanjing's tech vision first hand was a privilege and the current economic transformation going on within China.

The calibre, quality and innovation of my fellow 15 startups was truly inspiring and demonstrates that great ideas aren't restricted to the inner City.

Lastly, I cannot sing the praises high enough of Melbourne's Lord Mayor, Ms Sally Capp. She is an inspirational leader, a beacon of positivity and professionalism and a bona fide entrepreneur in her own right. The City is extremely lucky to have her representing the State of Victoria and Melbourne and is an asset to the startup community when reaching out beyond our shores.

This trip was a very positive experience for the Trusted Food Group and will be the first of many to come. To all who have been involved in our journey so far, I thank you. You know who you are!

I'm excited to be travelling over there with 15 high-quality startups as well as Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Sally Capp.
