Introducing Project ETERNA

Heritage-listed. Historically significant. But ready for modern life.

This Hobart city project was driven by one core challenge: preserve the historic fabric, while thoughtfully introducing contemporary living.

Working within tight heritage constraints, we introduced a gentle architectural addition —defined by natural light, clean lines, and functional flow.

Eterna’s untouched façade hides a carefully crafted modern addition, built to meet the needs of today without compromising the charm of yesterday.

Introducing Project DERWENT

📍Hobart

Our clients Caden & Kirra are a young family with 2 children, looking to build their forever home.

The task was to create a design that allowed the parents and children to have their own space, while creating a beautiful central living area that took advantage of the water views looking over Koomela Bay on the River Derwent.

It was important to Caden & Kirra to have an impressive front façade keeping in line with their tastes, but also creating a grand look when entering the site. With some not-so-surprising challenges to get this one out of the ground, the result was a split-level design that complimented the front façade, while hiding away the children’s bedrooms with multiple internal and external entertaining options that take in the beautiful water views.

An amazing spot to sit on the balcony and watch the sun disappear behind Mt Wellington.

Interior inspiration for our Horse Stables project which is undergoing the ultimate transformation right now in St Helens, Tasmania.

Horse stables turned modern country abode.

On the outskirts of St Helens, Tasmania laid an old, run down horse stable with visionary owners who recognised the potential to transform the stables into a 1 bedroom rustic farmstay for their family, friends and tourists visiting through the East Coast.

This was a project that the Allure team immediately got excited to work on, being able to help redesign a unique project that would deliver a beautiful country-style home for many to love.

The goal was to maintain as much of its natural character as possible, therefore many of the existing features were refurbished and repurposed to preserve key pieces of it’s heritage to allow the original character to really shine, all while incorporating the modern touches it needed.

The final concept design is this country-style abode with exposed timber walls, polished concrete floors at your feet and the original structural timber features remaining internally and externally, non more stunning than the original shingle roof.

One of our latest designs - Project NIII△, Tasmania.

A Californian-style luxury home was a big influence on the design for this Launceston based home for clients, Lisa & Clint.

With a strong love for their sport & entertaining, not only was a putting green, tennis court and a golf simulator a must on their design brief, but they wanted their home to provide a luxury feel across all areas.

And if the Launceston weather isn’t kind, they could slip into the theatre room for a movie, hit the gym or cosy up next to the fire place with a glass of red.

Welcome to Allure Building Design!

Since starting our design agency over 2 years ago, there has been very little time for social media.
