ATT081 BASKET REPAIRS

Over the past few weeks, our workshop team has been carrying out extensive repairs to this man basket.

The work included replacing the frame, mesh and handrails, along with repairing all cracks. Following completion of the repairs, the basket underwent non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify the integrity of the repairs and ensure it meets the requirements for mine-site use. All relevant reports and certification were completed, and new asset plates were installed.

The before and after photos below showcase the results of our team's repair work and attention to detail.

Another platform out of the workshop and installed onsite.

This one features a custom aluminium frame with FRP grating mesh flooring built for strength, durability and practicality.

Lab Fab has produced and installed many of these platforms over the past year, and they’re looking great across site.

A big shoutout to our workshop team for getting this one over the line, and to the install crew for another smooth site installation.

Another quality cage fabrication completed by the Lab Fab team!

LAB FAB is looking for experienced, trade-qualified Boilermakers to join our team.

We're not looking for someone who can just weld.

We're looking for tradespeople who can ready drawings, think through a job, fabricate accurately, solve problems, safety focused and take pride in producing quality work.

Our work is varied and includes:
- Structural steel fabrication
- Mining and industrial projects
- Heavy and light fabrication
- Earthmoving equipment repairs and maintenance
- Custom fabrication
- Workshop and site based work

You must be willing to travel!

Our projects can take our crews to remote mine sites and other ad-hoc locations, so you need to be comfortable working away from home when projects require it.

Additional site allowances apply to eligible site work.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

- Trade qualified Boilermakers
- Strong fabrication and welding skills
- Able to read and interpret drawings
- Able to work independently and solve problems
- Reliable and accountable
- High standard of workmanship
- Strong attitude towards safety and quality
- Willing to travel and work at remote locations
- Flexible around changing project requirements

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING:

- $45 to $60 per hour, plus super, based on demonstrated experience, capability and responsibility
- Additional site allowances for applicable site work
- Permanent full-time employment
- Variety of workshop, mining and industrial projects
