Here a breakdown we have done lately on a road train, the truck had the engine fan stuck on and had found clutches inside the hub had gone stuck together. The driver also asked to get the belts, idlers and tensioner replace. He also wanted the fuel filters replaced and had a tyre that need swapping out on one the trailers.

Got this big rig fix and back on the road drill holes to find water, have some big repair done by us and another workshop, drill motor replace, main ram replaced, welding repair and heaps of little issues repaired. We also had to diagnose why the the air tank would not split and drain the air out which was pick up by the Heavy vehicle inspectors when they was doing at check, it was found the have a fault protection valve.

Do let your vehicle get like this, this vehicle had a poor service history where it went a very very long time between servicing which lend to all this carbon/oil slug build up happen an blocking oil pick up and a piston let go and conrod came outside the block, which mean a new motor had to be fitted

Do miss servicing cause this will happen, which while end up causing oil pickups, oil gallery’s and sensor to block up and cause more wear

Here is a “C” Service, repairs and new wheel bearings all round we did the other day with alittle surprise that that could of been very bad, customer had front brakes replaced by another shop and one of the springs on the brakes was not fitted correctly and had eaten 3/4 way into the hub so a new hub was fitted and brakes on both sides removed and refitted correctly
