The Latrobe valley has helped power homes, businesses and industry across Victoria for generations, hosting some of Australia's most recognisable power stations and a key part of Victoria's industrial history.

Infrastructure like this represents decades of engineering and continual investment to keep critical assets operating safely and reliably. It's a reminder that each time we flick a switch, there is an enormous network of infrastructure and people who design, maintain and improve it.

Some engineering projects are difficult to appreciate until you're standing beside them.

Industrial infrastructure operates on a scale that's hard to capture in a single photo. Every beam, conveyor, platform and support structure has been designed with purpose, often in challenging operating environments.

Revaro is here on site at Yallourn to proudly support these assets to its end of life cycle, with solutions that perform reliably, day after day, year after year.

Revaro was recently engaged to provide engineering advice at a quarry where a conveyor structure had suffered significant corrosion.

A great example of the value of regular inspection and proactive surface coating maintenance. Early identification and management of corrosion can help prevent member replacement, reinforcement, propping and extended plant downtime.

Inspection and maintenance of structures can be a significant investment in asset reliability, availability and operating costs.

With just two years until the closure of Yallourn Power Station in Victoria's Latrobe Valley, it's a fitting time to reflect on the career that shaped Revaro's Principal Engineer and Director, Jason.

From Yallourn, through to TAFE and university, Jason reflects on the experiences that led to founding Revaro.

Today, Revaro has come full circle and continues to support Yallourn with engineering and asset management services through to end of life.
