🌿 Meet Michelle

As one of Endeavour Energy's Environmental Specialists, Michelle works to balance the delivery of critical electricity infrastructure with the protection of the environment and communities connected to our network.

For the past four years, Michelle has been part of a team of five environmental specialists supporting projects and operational compliance across communities throughout the Endeavour Energy network.

A highlight of her role has been the replacement of ageing electricity infrastructure on Picnic Island. Working closely with heritage and Indigenous stakeholder groups, Michelle and the project team helped navigate a range of environmental and cultural considerations, ensuring the project was delivered with care and respect for the values that make the island so special.

You might see the word tariff on your energy bill, but what does it mean?​

A tariff is the way electricity use is charged, often based on when electricity is used during the day.​

As your local distribution network:​
• Endeavour Energy sets network tariffs charged to energy retailers​
• Retailers decide how those charges are reflected in customer plans​

The way we use the electricity network is changing, with more solar, batteries and electric vehicles on the grid. Our tariffs encourage electricity use at times when cheaper, renewable energy is available, helping make better use of the network and keep energy more affordable.

Understanding network tariffs can help you better understand the costs that contribute to your electricity plan. While we charge energy retailers for using our network, your retailer sets the plan you pay. To compare energy plans available in NSW, visit Energy Made Easy, a free and independent Australian Government service.

⚠️ Keep an eye out for fallen powerlines, which may be hidden among trees and debris.

⚡Always assume fallen powerlines are 'live' and dangerous.

⚠️ Stay at least 8 metres (or 2 car lengths) away and remind others to do the same.

📞 For immediate help, report fallen powerlines on 131 003 (24/7).

This year’s recipients are delivering practical, community-led projects that make a difference where it matters most, from helping emergency responders stay operational during power outages and equipping communities with emergency preparedness kits, to supporting wildlife recovery, building energy literacy for families and schools, and connecting families with vital support.

⚡ Supporting reliability in Kiama Heights ⚡

Residents and businesses in Kiama Heights will benefit from a stronger and more reliable network following a recent power pole replacement in the area.

Renewing critical network equipment helps maintain a safe, reliable and resilient electricity supply while reducing the risk of unplanned outages for the community.

❤️ Helping ensure more families have food on the table this festive season is something we're proud to be part of.

Recently, our people volunteered with Foodbank to help support Australians doing it tough during the festive season. Together, they packed over 58,000 meals worth of food to individuals and families in need across our communities.

It's a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people come together to support their community. Whether it's keeping the power on or lending a hand to those who need it most, we're committed to making a positive difference in the communities we serve.

A big thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and contributed to this fantastic effort.

⚠️TOTAL FIRE BAN Monday 12th October ⚠️

🔥 The NSW Rural Fire Service has also declared a Total Fire Ban across the Greater Sydney Region.

To help keep our communities safe, we have activated our bushfire defence settings. This means our automatic network restoration systems are temporarily disabled and if winds cause a power outage crews will take additional safety precautions before power can be safely restored.

👷 Additional emergency crews are on standby to respond to faults across the network
⚠️ Stay at least 8 metres away from fallen powerlines - assume they’re live and dangerous. - and call us to report them immediately on 131 003
