⚠️WIND STORM – 12:45pm Sunday 6th September ⚠️

Endeavour Energy crews are continuing to make safe storm damage and restore power to the 10,415 customers who remain without power.

Crews have now safely restored power to more than 75% of customers affected by the storm and are working to restore supply to remaining customers as quickly and safely as possible.

However, some customers will remain without power until tomorrow. As crews continue to assess damage across the network, they are identifying additional faults and storm impacts, including damaged powerlines, poles and electrical equipment. This is increasing the time required to make sites safe, complete repairs and restore electricity supply.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of customers affected by these outages, particularly on Father’s Day.

If you see a fallen or damaged powerline, stay at least eight metres away and call 131 003 immediately.

⚠️WIND STORM – 7am Sunday 6th September ⚠️

Our Endeavour Energy crews worked through the night to make safe storm damage and restore power to 42,864 customers, after wild winds and storms caused more than 250 electrical hazards including broken power poles and fallen power lines across the Hawkesbury, Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains. 19, 392 customers remain without power this morning.

Planned maintenance works, with the exception of a small number of critical jobs, have been postponed to maximise resources for restoration efforts. Storm response centres have been activated to coordinate crews and restore power as quickly and safely as possible. While crews are working around the clock to restore supply, some customers may remain without power until tomorrow.

We appreciate the patience and understanding of customers affected by these outages, particularly on Father’s Day. Our crews are continuing to work around the clock to restore power. If you see a fallen or damaged powerline, stay at least eight metres away and call 131 003 immediately.

⚠ Power outage update 7.30pm Saturday 5 September ⚠

Crews are currently working to make damaged areas safe before restoration work can commence

Endeavour Energy crews are currently working to make damaged areas safe and assess the extent of damage caused by gale force winds of up to 100 km/hour across the network. With Greater Sydney still under Total Fire Ban conditions, power is unlikely to be restored to most affected customers this evening.

As a safety precaution under Total Fire Ban conditions, our automatic network restoration systems have been temporarily disabled, meaning crews must manually inspect and patrol powerlines before supply can be safely restored.
We understand these outages are frustrating, particularly ahead of Father's Day, and we are doing everything we can to restore power to customers as quickly and safely as possible.

Endeavour Energy would like to thank our customers for their continued patience and understanding as our crews work to restore power as quickly and as safely as possible. We continue to advise customers to exercise caution and to stay at least eight metres away from fallen powerlines and call 131 003 to report them.

We have also advised life support customers to act on their emergency back up plans and encourage them to make arrangements that suit their personal circumstances.

⚠️ WINDY CONDITIONS – Saturday 5pm ⚠️

Strong winds are causing widespread power outages across the Endeavour Energy network, with around 50,000 customers currently without power and further outages possible as weather conditions continue. There are currently over 250 fault sites on the network with the Greater Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains the worst hit areas.

Additional crews are being brought in to respond and restore power to customers safely and as quickly as possible, however some customers will remain without power overnight.

The severe winds have brought down trees and powerlines across several areas, creating dangerous conditions. Customers are urged to stay at least eight metres away from any fallen, hanging or damaged powerlines, including wires tangled in trees, branches or other debris. If you see a fallen powerline, treat it as live and dangerous and report it immediately by calling Endeavour Energy on 131 003 or 000 if there is an immediate threat to life or property.

With Father's Day tomorrow, we know this outage will be particularly inconvenient for many families. Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to affected customers.

⚡ Meet the Team: The problem solvers behind the network

Keeping the power on for our communities takes more than poles and wires. It takes a team of dedicated people working behind the scenes to plan for the future.

Our Mains Design Engineers help deliver projects that support growing communities, connect new customers and make room for more rooftop solar through initiatives like community batteries.

💡 Designing solutions that keep power flowing safely and reliably
🤝 Working with customers and communities to understand local needs
🔋 Helping deliver projects that support the energy transition

One of the team's favourite parts of the job is seeing a project go from an idea on paper to something that benefits the community for years to come.
