Whilst we're all stuck at home amid quarantine measures, why not get involved with the Redbird Virtual STEM lab?

Available to high school students with classes running every few days, it's a great opportunity to learn about all things aviation, aeronautics and flying!

Fun fact: Our sister company TVSA Flight Training has two brand new Redbird simulators that they use to train their commercial pilot students!

Learn about aeronautics and experience aviation from home with our expert teacher. We'll be offering weekly classes on a range of topics to help Middle and High School students stay engaged with aviation during this trying time. The STEM+ Lab is free and open to the public.

Hi all,

In light of recent events and on the advice of the Victorian government and health service, Leading Edge has made the decision to temporarily suspend flight training until further notice. As much as we'd love to continue helping you achieve your flying dreams, this is a necessary measure that needs to be taken for the safety of our students and instructors alike.

Although flight schools are not yet on the list of non-essential services, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of safety culture and taking unnecessary risks with regards to your health is simply not an option. Our students are our main priority, and this decision is the safest option at this time.

In the meantime, we'd highly encourage our students to study up and get on top of their theory in preparation for when we restart training operations in the future! Our aircraft is also fully available for private hire for RPC holders (although we recommend no passengers come with you in line with current social distancing rules). We provide lots of materials that you can use to prepare for your theory exams and now is the perfect time to sit down and get prepared. Our instructors are available for your questions and we are looking at ways we can help you using online mediums in the meantime.

If you have any questions surrounding this change, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your instructor. We're here to help and will always do everything we can to ensure you have the best experience possible.

It’s the 10th Annual Women in Aviation Worldwide Week this week and to celebrate Leading Edge Aviation are offering FREE trial flights for aspiring women pilots.
With only 4% of the world’s pilots being female, it’s time to get more women into the sky.
To book you need to be aged 14 or over and available for the flight on Saturday 14th March at Bacchus Marsh Airport.
