We have been grateful to spend time alongside Wadjak Northside in Balga and Elder Len Yarran.

Kardan team members Julio, Timmy and Owen, led by Simon, have been on site helping clear and improve an overgrown area around the yarning circle, creating a more usable space for the community.

It has been a privilege to be welcomed into the space and to lend a hand where we can.

Kardan is bringing history back to life 🏗️ We have the big crane on site at the Kelmscott Train Station Masters House, supporting the renovation of this heritage building.

The crane's been putting in work this week as part of the roofing upgrade for the City of Vincent Loftus Recreation Centre. Keeping the site running on ground while we we get the job done above.

What a week!!!

Just days after being recognised with the Supplier Diversity Award at the Supply Nation Awards with the Department of Housing and Works, we had another reason to celebrate last night at the WA Social Enterprise Council Awards.

Kardan was named Social Enterprise of the Year!

To be recognised for the way we do business, the opportunities we create and the impact we are working to build means a great deal to our whole team. For us, social enterprise is not something that sits alongside our business. It is part of how we operate every day.

A huge thank you to the WA Social Enterprise Council, our team, our clients, partners and everyone who continues to back what we are trying to demonstrate is possible.

Two awards. One week. A lot to be proud of...and we will keep on

We won!

Kardan Construction and the Department of Housing and Works have been recognised with the Supplier Diversity Partnership of the Year award at the 2026 Supply Nation Supplier Diversity Awards.

This recognition highlights what can happen when organisations work together to create opportunities while delivering outstanding work.

We’re proud of the work we’ve done with the Department of Housing and Works and grateful for the trust they’ve placed in us.

A partnership like this doesn’t happen from one side alone. It takes people willing to have the conversations, find ways to make things work and back the idea that supplier diversity can be part of doing good business, not something added on afterwards.

So, yes, we’re celebrating this one and then it’s back to work.

This week, Kardan met with National Australia Day Council Interim CEO, Todd Ashurst, to explore new ways of creating meaningful employment pathways and lasting social impact.

We were delighted to bring together 2026 Western Australian Australian of the Year Dr Daniela Vecchio - founder of Australia's first and only public hospital Gaming Disorder and Screen Addiction Clinic, and 2026 Australian of the Year Local Hero, Frank Mitchell.

Together, they're collaborating on a recovery-to-employment initiative supporting people transitioning from gaming and screen addiction into meaningful, sustainable employment.

We're already seeing the impact, with two participants now employed within Kardan Glassworks and our Head Office team.

At Kardan, we believe employment changes lives, and we're proud to support partnerships that create opportunity and lasting social impact.
