BinarX Kicks Off 2026 with a Stellar New Format!
On January 31st, we wrapped up the BinarX January School Holiday Program. Returning for its 3rd year, this was our first time running a five‑day format and welcoming Year 5 and 6 students into our challenging, intensive, and FUN hands-on rocket payload engineering and launch program.
Across the week, students amazed us with their enthusiasm, creativity and curiosity. From soldering their own functioning payloads to designing 3D printed components in TinkerCAD and launching rockets carrying real flight‑data payloads, these young engineers absolutely shone.
A massive thank‑you to our incredible facilitators and mentors from the Binar Space Program at , PAST - Perth Aerospace Student Team , and BinarX Student Payload Development Program alumni from Balcatta Senior High School and Bob Hawke College .
The network of facilitators and mentors all worked together to guide the participants throughout the program and beautifully highlighted the pipeline of mentorship, pathways and opportunities across multiple stages of the growing space sector in Western Australia.
We’re also deeply grateful for the generous support of our partners, without whom the program would not be possible. We extend our gratitude to the Fogarty Foundation , Curtin University School of Earth and Planetary Sciences .eps.rocks, Andrew Hannah and the team at Curtin University STEM Outreach , and Curtin University Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Trailblazer.
We’re excited to take the program to Kalgoorlie in July 2026, with plans to expand further into regional WA. And we’re already looking ahead to Perth in January 2027!
