We have a bird's eye view of progress at our Davyhurst village expansion which is expected to be operational by the end of June! This includes 100 additional rooms, plus a new 550-person dry mess and upgraded kitchen facilities.

We are also pleased to announce that Phase 2 has been approved ahead of the FY27 budget, which means construction of a further 124 rooms, along with recreation areas and a new gym which is planned to start in October. This phase will commence following the completion of our totally new camp at Siberia to accommodate our Sand King workforce!

We are investing heavily in our camps and facilities to support our growth strategy and it's great to see all the progress so far!

Since our maiden flight a few weeks ago, the new Riverina airstrip at Davyhurst has quickly become an important part of daily operations. It's great to see our teams boarding flights and the airstrip in action!

The improved access from site to camp means less travel time and a much better experience for our people working across the site. This investment in infrastructure will also support our future developments at Davyhurst under our 'DRIVE to 300' growth plan.

This week we launched our DRIVE to 300 strategy, an exciting three-year plan with the aspiration to double gold production through the construction of a new 3Mtpa mill at Davyhurst, three times larger than our existing mill, a new underground mine at Waihi, and a range of supporting growth projects across the business.

It’s the next chapter for OBM and it really is a golden opportunity for people looking to develop their careers.

OBM Unveils DRIVE to 300 Growth Strategy

100 days to go! The countdown is on!

For the second year running, we are the proud leading partner of the Transcend Trails hike or run which is taking place on 22nd August 2026. If you have been thinking about setting yourself a challenge this year, then this is your sign!

The trail is set in WA's beautiful Avon Valley, just one hour’s drive northeast of Perth metro, with options for all abilities so you can choose your own challenge. You can do it on your own or get a team together, and no matter what trail you choose, you’ll have an amazing community supporting you. There are a team of health and nutrition experts to guide your training, and definitely a party atmosphere cheering you on to cross the finish line.

The UWA Ora Banda Wedgetails visited the office to show us their trophy's and give us a run down on how they did in the International Collegiate Mining Games in Tucson, Arizona.

From taking 1st in the swede saw event, to their interesting airleg technique, they didn't muck about and we couldn't have been prouder of the team!
