The team had a great time at the WA Mining Club 2026 Scholarship awards held at the Pan Pacific! It was a fantastic evening recognising outstanding students seeking to build a career in mining.

We were proud to sponsor the ‘Mature Age Student’ award this year, reinforcing that people can enter or progress within the mining industry at any stage of their careers, bringing with them invaluable life experience and fresh perspectives!

Steph Prinsloo, our GM of Operations, had the pleasure of presenting the award to the winner, Frozan Masjidi, who is currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at UWA. Huge congratulations to Frozan for her achievements, she has shown so much determination throughout her life which is really inspiring. We also extend our congratulations to our two finalists, Sajidah Kangmenan Nurudeen Kutia and Brianna Grant.

Thank you to the WA Mining Club team for making it such a memorable event.

We're partnering with the incredible Transcend Trails team again this year and can't wait...only 10 weeks to go!

Last year was just amazing. Hundreds of people coming together with a shared goal to get across the finish line and no matter what distance they choose, we know it takes courage and determination as well as a lot of training discipline!

We're pleased to see members of our own team have already stepped up with entries ranging from the 6km right through to the 65km Ultra! Our Ora Banda Strava community is also growing and with some very impressive training stats!

Last month, GR Engineering Services, was appointed as our preferred contractor for the EPC works on the 3.0Mtpa processing plant at the Davyhurst expansion project.

In preparation for GRES' mobilisation and concrete works beginning in early July, Red Dust Holdings has commenced the Bulk Earthworks Package and have already completed a significant portion of the Clear and Grub scope.

They are now removing topsoil layers ready for the bulk earthworks pads!

The expansion project will deliver a new processing plant with nearly three times the capacity of the current mill and marks an important phase in our growth plan!

It's World Environment Day! 🌎

One of the ways we're protecting key habitats across our sites, while continuing rehabilitation and land management work, is the roll out of our Malleefowl Monitoring Program at our Siberia project.

The Malleefowl is one of the most fascinating birds we share the landscape with as they have unique breeding habits with nesting mounds that can be over 1 m in height and 4 m across. Recent LiDAR imagery, managed by our environment team, has identified more than 185 potential nesting mounds across our tenure!

It's still early days but this program is helping us better track activities and is another step in making sure we're working responsibly. Great work OBM team!

We have a bird's eye view of progress at our Davyhurst village expansion which is expected to be operational by the end of June! This includes 100 additional rooms, plus a new 550-person dry mess and upgraded kitchen facilities.

We are also pleased to announce that Phase 2 has been approved ahead of the FY27 budget, which means construction of a further 124 rooms, along with recreation areas and a new gym which is planned to start in October. This phase will commence following the completion of our totally new camp at Siberia to accommodate our Sand King workforce!

We are investing heavily in our camps and facilities to support our growth strategy and it's great to see all the progress so far!

Since our maiden flight a few weeks ago, the new Riverina airstrip at Davyhurst has quickly become an important part of daily operations. It's great to see our teams boarding flights and the airstrip in action!

The improved access from site to camp means less travel time and a much better experience for our people working across the site. This investment in infrastructure will also support our future developments at Davyhurst under our 'DRIVE to 300' growth plan.

What a way to start the day!

This week we launched our DRIVE to 300 strategy, an exciting three-year plan with the aspiration to double gold production through the construction of a new 3Mtpa mill at Davyhurst, three times larger than our existing mill, a new underground mine at Waihi, and a range of supporting growth projects across the business.

It’s the next chapter for OBM and it really is a golden opportunity for people looking to develop their careers.

We are all about sustainable growth and creating long-term value and that means investing in great people. Over the coming weeks and months, we will have a wide range of opportunities opening across our operations and we’re looking for talented people to help shape what’s next!
