Recently a CAT 740B was brought in due to brake issues at POS1. We discovered poor workmanship out of its country of origin Malaysia, including a missing friction damper in the pack and a snapped adjuster. It’s no longer surprising to find such issues when opening up machine components these days. 👀 🤦🏽‍♂️

A new engine oil cooler, about 8 flushes, UV dye, few head scratches, we decided it wasn’t the tr**ny or the oil cooler, still had traces of oil in the cooling system, pulled the head and viola! Blown out seal under the head. (We were about to throw it all back together and send it) 😅 now she’s getting the works! .3

And we are back! The boys have been lining up and chewing at the bit to get stuck back in! 💨
