Don't skip the pre-start. Here are 5 checks to run through before you turn the key ☑🔑

Running a grapple saw makes tree removal and site clearing ten times faster, but because you're combining heavy hydraulics with cutting power, doing a quick pre-op inspection is essential every single shift.

1️⃣ Check the saw bar and teeth. Sharp cutters cut smooth. Dull teeth force the hydraulic motor to work twice as hard. Look for hose wear and pin slop while you're at it.

2️⃣ Check your machine flow. Make sure your machine's hydraulic pressure matches the saw's specs.

3️⃣ Don't push the load limits. Know the grab's weight limit and stick to it so you don't drop timber mid-cut.

4️⃣ Know your SWMS. Revisit your site hazards, pinch points, and emergency procedures before you pick up the controls.

5️⃣ Clear the drop zone. Set a strict exclusion zone so no ground crew strays into the danger area while timber is moving.
