Impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) has been used successfully on the atmospheric zone of structures in Australia for over 30 years. The first system was installed under the direction of Frank Papworth, SRCP’s Chairman, on Bridget Beach Apartments in 1984. Since then ICCP has been used on hundreds of structures in Australia. They remain the most common CP system for atmospherically exposed concrete.
