Meet Chris 👋 Our Solar Renewables General Manager.
I’ve spent most of my career in the electrical and renewables sector, working across mining, utilities, and large-scale energy projects. My background is in project management — leading complex builds from design through to delivery — and over the years I’ve found a real passion for renewable energy. Joining ADCO was a natural step, giving me the chance to focus on solar and battery solutions while bringing my experience in project delivery, commercial management, and team leadership into a new environment.
What really stood out was ADCO’s commitment to growth in solar and renewables, and the opportunity to help shape that journey from the ground up. The role lets me combine my technical background with my commercial and leadership experience, but more importantly it’s about building something that makes a difference — accelerating the clean energy transition. That mix of challenge and purpose is what excites me most.
It’s been a busy but rewarding start. I’ve been impressed by the energy in the business and the willingness of people to collaborate and get things moving quickly. There’s a strong team culture here, and the openness to new ideas has stood out straight away.
Every new role has a learning curve, and for me it’s been about getting across the internal systems, processes, and how ADCO likes to operate. I’ve taken the approach of asking plenty of questions, building relationships early, and making sure I understand the “why” behind how things are done. That’s helped me settle in quickly.
