What am I getting for my money?

Granny flats have been advertised for as little as $10,000. On closer inspection, they were little more than shells and did not include slabs, electricity or plumbing. More realistically, a “complete” granny flat can cost from $60,000 to over $120,000.

Ask your builder for every detail about your granny flat. If the price is low, it may be because the granny flat doesn't have quality inclusions or the builder hasn't included electrical connections or plumbing.
