MP&DA visited Albany last week to run a Try-a-Trade for young locals. And what a resounding success it was. The highly engaged group had a great time gaining practical experience in the wall and ceiling and painting trades, with several expressing serious interest in apprenticeships in both. We followed this up with a sundowner for MP&DA members, where we connected the Try-a-Trade participants with our Albany members. A fantastic collaborative effort from all involved, thanks to Skill Hire, Noroo Paints & Coatings, the Association of Wall & Ceiling Industries, Busy at Work and Albany Plasterboard.
