Arvista Surveying and Enetch Mining Consultants and are achieving great success with 3D modelling of open pit mines for structural mapping.

Arvista’s surveyors rapidly acquire high resolution imagery of a full pit and generate detailed, accurate 3D models. Entech’s geotechnical team are able to use these models for mapping of structures to assess cutback designs, back-analysis of current and historical failures, measure performance of the design against asbuilt while correlating structure, D&B and lithology etc.

Together Arvista and Entech have performed validation tests by comparing structure from our photogrammetry against structure from borehole televiewer processing with strong correlation observed.
