From Cairo to Dallas to Abu Dhabi, it has been a jam-packed few months for all of us at Genesis Petroleum as we travelled across the globe networking and teaching at some of the Oil & Gas industry's biggest gatherings. 🌏

You can never stop learning in this business!

Our team was excited to hear from globally recognised CEO, multi-millionaire entrepreneur and investor Mick Spencer at a local eGroup meeting last night. Richard Branson recently praised Mick as 'a business leader to watch', and his charisma and extraordinary experience was certainly on show for all those in attendance.

Genesis CEO Dr. Carlos Damski received a signed copy of Mick's latest book, 'Start Before You're Ready', which was also launched last night. 'It was a pleasure to learn more about Mick's growth, his professional career as well as the aspects of his personal life that have underpinned all of his successes.'

Our CEO Dr. Carlos Damski was proud to represent Genesis at ATCE 2018 last week, helping to make data analytics centre stage when thousands of Oil & Gas industry professionals descended upon Texas for this premier event.

Big data transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and other digital technologies were among the key topics showcased, and Dr. Damski lead the charge with his own course titled 'Data Analytics for Drilling Optimisation' that we're excited to say was very well received by attendees.

“We had a rousing and compelling opening general session, and the panellists set the tone for the whole event, helping to spur dialogue about the technical areas that are driving our industry forward,” said 2018 SPE President Darcy Spady. “For nearly a century, SPE members have walked away from ATCE with innovative ideas, and this year was no different."

Certainly one of our favourite industry events on the calendar, and all of us at Genesis are already looking forward to the next one! Big thanks to SPE and the rest of the organisers for such a fantastic conference.
