We spend a lot of time talking about where aluminium performs best, where stainless makes sense, and why material selection should always come back to the application.

For Bayline Plumbing Pty Ltd’s residential apartment project in Boronia, Victoria, stainless steel was the right fit for the application.

Infinity Stainless was used across four levels for water and gas services, with more than 100 metres of pipe supplied in sizes from 28mm to 54mm.

The result was a compliant, commercially competitive alternative to copper, backed by staged project support and responsive material coordination.

When you’re installing overhead, pipe weight matters.

What looks straightforward on a drawing can feel very different once you’re actually onsite.

Long runs often need to go overhead, around existing equipment or through a live workshop that’s still operating. And as the pipe size gets bigger, the weight you’re handling starts to matter pretty quickly.

That’s one of the practical reasons aluminium remains such a popular choice for compressed air. Its lightweight construction makes longer lengths and larger sizes easier to manoeuvre, position and work with during installation.

It’s not a flashy benefit, but when you’re lifting pipe overhead for half the day, it’s one you - and your physio - are likely to appreciate 💪
