A couple came in with their 2 horse straight load float. They float mini horses and needed more storage room for gear.

We modified our standard angle load rug rack into a straight load style, which opened up extra storage space in the float.

A lot of what comes through the shop is rust repair work for registration and pink slip inspections.

Worth pointing out, we not only do full exterior resprays. Plenty of jobs are just parts of the float, a panel, a section, wherever the rust has come through. We prep the area properly, and paint with durable 2 pack paint.

The prep is what makes the difference. Rush that part and the repair does not last.

This float came in for a tailgate refurb, and it is a good example of exactly why we refurb our tailgates the way we do.

Here is what happens over time without rubber to the edges.

Water found its way into the exposed alloy trim on this tailgate, worked down into the timber panel and rusted out the exterior skin.

It is exactly why every tailgate refurb we do gets rubber to all edges, anti slip German imported rubber, correct adhesives, correct manufacturing techniques. Keeps the water out and the structure sound.

Storm doors are one of the more popular modifications we get asked for, usually from owners who are done with their old barn door setup and material roll up storm covers.

We make our storm doors with no expossed rivets, stainless steel lockable latches, 2 pack paint finish and comes standard with an air flow stay.

A great modification for camping in your float and also gives you more security.

This Otto Tuza came in looking tired and went home looking like a different float.

A float can be sound underneath with plenty of years left in it and still get to the point where you are a bit over how it looks. A full exterior refurb is often all it takes to get that back.

This float came in for the roof refurb, then the customer decided to do the whole exterior. Good call, because the finish across the complete float is what makes it feel new again.

We stripped it back, prepped it, and brought it back up to new.

Another rust repair through the workshop, and a good example of how we approach them.

Rust around a window panel like this is common on floats . The part people miss is that the rust is a symptom. Something is letting water in, and until that is fixed the rust keeps coming back no matter how many times the original panel is incorrectly repaired.

We start by working out where the water is getting in. Once that is sorted, we remove the original panels, replace with new and use the correct fabrication techniques and trims to stop this from happening again, finished off with a durable 2 pack paint and this float is ready for lots more years of service.

We have done a lot of these, and doing it this way is what makes the repair hold up.

More people are camping in their floats these days, and a caravan door can make it a lot easier.

A lady came to see us wanting more security and easier access to her float when she is camping in it.

We framed out the original opening and fitted a caravan door. Now she has an easy to open and lockable door.

A caravan door also seals against dust and water, and come with a built-in window and flyscreen, so you get airflow and light without the bugs.

This Olympic 2HSL came in for a full exterior refurb.

A lot of owners look at a float this age and think the only option is to replace it. Plenty of the older floats are still structurally sound underneath. They just look tired.

We stripped it back, sorted the areas that needed attention, and brought the finish back up.

A refurb on an older trusted model will usually cost a fraction of a new one, and you keep a float you already know and trust.

A customer came to us wanting a service. When we looked at her float it needed a suspension overhaul.
