38 Metres on the Move!

Another major milestone for Samaras Structural Engineers as a massive 38-metre structural steel beam departs our Gillman facility, bound for Adelaide Airport for the Northern Terminal Expansion.

Transporting steel of this scale through the streets of Adelaide requires precision planning and coordination, with another 41-metre beam scheduled to depart our yard this afternoon.

Next stop: Adelaide Airport! ✈️

✈️ Installation underway at Adelaide Airport

Samaras Structural Engineers has successfully commenced installation of the NTE Gate 25 works at Adelaide Airport, as part of the broader Northern Terminal Expansion (NTE).

Working airside within an active airport environment requires a high level of coordination, detailed planning and strict scheduling. With aircraft movements continuing around the work zone, every stage of the installation has been carefully planned over the past three months to ensure works could be carried out safely and efficiently.

The commencement of installation marks an important milestone for our team and another step forward in the expansion of Adelaide Airport, supporting the future growth of this important piece of South Australian infrastructure.

A big thank you to our team and our subcontractor K3 for their efforts, coordination and commitment in getting the works underway.

We look forward to seeing the NTE Gate 25 works continue to take shape.

Another significant venue secured for Samaras Structural Engineers.

We’re pleased to announce the award of the structural steel package for the new Canberra Lyric Theatre.

Samaras will deliver the complete structural steel package — coordinating the supply, fabrication, delivery and er****on of approximately 848 tonnes of steelwork through to completion on site.

Part of the Canberra Theatre Centre redevelopment, the new Lyric Theatre will accommodate larger productions and enhance Canberra’s capacity to host major national and international performances.

This is another opportunity to demonstrate what we do best — delivering complex structural steel packages from fabrication through to final er****on on site.

We’re proud to see 111 Castlereagh officially open, marking the completion of another significant Sydney project for Samaras Structural Engineers.

The development features a 22-storey residential tower comprising 98 residences, integrated with premium retail and commercial spaces in the heart of Sydney’s C*D.

Partnering with Scentre Group, Samaras delivered approximately 1,150 tonnes of structural steel, with our scope including the major transfer truss and steelwork spanning the retail, commercial and shared spaces.

It’s rewarding to see the finished development now officially open and in use, and to recognise the role our team played in bringing this impressive project to life.

Another exciting milestone is taking shape in the heart of Sydney.

Samaras Structural Engineers has partnered with Kuatro Group to deliver the structural steel package for the new 35-storey Moxy Hotel, a landmark development that will bring Marriott International's vibrant lifestyle hotel brand to Sydney's C*D.

Standing approximately 121 metres tall, the development will feature 308 guest rooms, along with a restaurant, bar, retail spaces, gymnasium, and outdoor areas, creating a dynamic destination for visitors and locals alike.

Our onsite team has now completed structural steel er****on up to Level 18, marking another significant milestone on this impressive high-rise project.

The project is expected to be completed in 2027, and we look forward to seeing this exciting development continue to rise.

Samaras Structural Engineers was proud to contribute to the transformation of one of Australia's most celebrated sporting venues, delivering the structural steel fabrication for the Eastern and Western grandstand redevelopments.

From our workshop to site, every element was delivered with the expertise and attention to detail that defines the Samaras team.

Today, Adelaide Oval hosts AFL, international cricket, concerts and world-class events. Knowing our work forms part of a venue enjoyed by millions is something we're incredibly proud of.

Australia’s first Deep Maintenance and Modification Facility (DMMF) is officially open — marking a significant milestone for South Australia’s defence industry and sovereign capability.

Samaras Structural Engineers was proud to collaborate with BESIX Watpac, in partnership with Renewal SA, to deliver approximately 1,500 tonne of structural steel for this landmark project. Our scope included the supply, fabrication, delivery, and er****on of structural steel critical to the successful delivery of the facility.

Projects like DMMF highlight the strength of local industry and the capability of South Australian engineering and construction teams to deliver complex, nationally significant infrastructure.
