Samaras Structural Engineers is proud to partner with CPB Contractors in delivering the South Road Tram Overpass Upgrade.

As part of the Tram Grade Separation Projects, this major infrastructure initiative is designed to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and strengthen connectivity along one of South Australia’s busiest transport corridors.

Our involvement extended well beyond the workshop floor; from early-stage detailing and engineering through to fabrication, surface treatment, delivery, and final installation. Every stage critical in bringing this complex structural steel package to life.

It’s great to see the elevated Tram Stop 6 at South Road now open to commuters — a successful outcome made possible through the collaboration and effort of all teams involved.

The Cutaway at Barangaroo Reserve is officially open, unveiling a world-class cultural and events destination on the edge of Sydney Harbour.

Originally completed in 2015 as a raw concrete shell beneath Barangaroo Reserve, the space has undergone a remarkable transformation into one of Sydney’s largest and most versatile indoor event venues. The project was funded by the NSW Government.

Designed to host major cultural events including Sydney Festival and Vivid Sydney, The Cutaway also provides a striking setting for exhibitions, performances, festivals, and corporate and community events.

Samaras Structural Engineers is proud to have partnered with FDC Construction & Fitout in the delivery of this landmark project, undertaking the fabrication, er****on, and installation of approximately 278 tonne of structural steel.

The Penrith Stadium Redevelopment is set to deliver a new world-class venue for Western Sydney, transforming the traditional match-day stadium into a modern multi-purpose destination.

The project includes a complete redevelopment of the existing venue, featuring upgraded spectator facilities, improved accessibility, enhanced fan experience, and modern infrastructure designed to support major sporting and entertainment events for decades to come.

Samaras Structural Engineers has partnered with John Holland to supply, fabricate, and deliver the structural steel package for this landmark project.

Main construction works are currently underway with the stadium scheduled to reopen by early 2027.

🚧 Exciting Milestone at the City Tattersalls Redevelopment! 🚧

Samaras Structural Engineers is proud to announce the successful unloading and installation of the first CFT structural component at the prestigious City Tattersalls Redevelopment Project in Sydney!

This achievement represents a significant step toward delivering the state-of-the-art structural framework for this landmark development. The CFT measures 18.0 meters in length and 900 mm in diameter, weighing 12 tonnes.

Samaras’ station portfolio continues to expand, with the recent partnership with Webuild on the development of the new Orchard Hill Railway Station.

The new metro station at Orchard Hills will service a future residential, commercial, and mixed-use precinct, helping to transform the area into a compact, high-amenity and walkable new community.

Scheduled for completion in 2027, the Orchard Hills Railway Station is an integral component of the new Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport metro line.

Samaras has the privilege of fabricating, supplying and installing approximately 551 tonne of structural steel for this project.

Samaras Structural Engineers is pleased to announce it’s collaboration with Webuild on the development of the new Luddenham Railway Station.

This station is part of a broader initiative that includes six stations planned for the new Greater Western Sydney Metro Railway line. This transformative metro rail project aims to facilitate significant growth in Western Sydney, providing rapid and efficient connectivity between current and future residential areas and employment centers throughout Greater Sydney.

Samaras has successfully been awarded to fabricate, supply, and deliver an estimated 811 tonne of structural steel for this project.

Construction is well and truly underway at Australia’s first Deep Maintenance and Modification Facility (DMMF), with our first structural steel arrived and installed on site. The major lift and installation of the box truss marks our first big milestone for this project.

Samaras Structural Engineers has partnered with BESIX Watpac, in partnership with Renewal SA to supply, fabricate, deliver and erect approximately 1,500 tonne of structural steel for this purpose-built facility.

A significant milestone has been accomplished at the Cutaway in Barangaroo, with approximately 215 tonnes of structural steel successfully procured, fabricated, erected and installed.

This includes the completion of the Level 1 and 2 Mezzanine steel, the Level 2 shelf package, and the Pre-function Ribbon steel.

A great team effort by everyone involved.
