We are experts in performance building and passive house design.

This roof has no thermal bridges installed (which is quite typical), resulting in sweating. Over time, this creates an unhealthy environment, as shown in the video. Note: This is a real-life example of why one should avoid building with steel frames. High temperature fluctuations can lead to condensation.

If you are looking for a builder who cares about the performance of your house, then reach out to us to take advantage of our pre-construction planning process and collaborate to make your dream a reality.

Preliminary Agreements provide a description of a project that allows us, as your builder, to assess the work required to formulate the scope and cost analysis.

Depending on what stage you are at, some of the preliminary work undertaken by J Turner Constructions includes (but is not limited to):

• Contour and detail survey
• Identification survey
• Feasibility study
• Soil or geotechnical report
• Engaging a designer/architect to draw up a concept and subsequently a detailed design
• Engineering design
• Town planning advice
• Other specialist consultant reports
• Locating existing infrastructure within the site
• Cost analysis/quoting

If you are in the very early stages of purchasing land or have yet to engage an architect/designer or draftsman, you may need our assistance with these tasks. If you already have these documents in order, you may want us to review them in detail to produce a tender quote.
