BME NQ’s local Cairns team are DNV certified ISO9606 to work on Australian Navy vessels while building custom Light Utility Boats (LUB’s) for the Australian Navy’s Hydrographic fleet. We are involved in the maintenance program for some of the most advanced, high tech and secure vessels in the country. It is because of this extremely high level of workmanship and efficiency in all the work we do that has helped develop our team as one of the highest regarded boat manufacturers in the region. This 12-metre commercial vessel is nearing completion, with its robust hull and superstructure ready for final fit-out. Designed for the demanding conditions of the Torres Strait, it will deliver safe and comfortable passenger transport between the islands. Once equipped with seating & safety gear it will provide an essential link for local communities and enhance everyday marine connectivity.
