JUNIOR BLASTER & PAINTER
Main Engineering is seeking a reliable and motivated Junior Blaster & Painter to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish or further develop their career within the industrial blasting and painting industry. We are looking for an individual who is hardworking, safety-focused and eager to learn.
Previous blasting and painting experience would be advantageous; however, it is not essential. For the right candidate, we are willing to provide on-the-job training and support to develop the skills required for the role.
About the Role
Working alongside our experienced team, your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with abrasive blasting and surface preparation
• Preparing steel, components and equipment for painting and coating
• Assisting with industrial spray painting and protective coating applications
• Mixing and preparing paints and coatings as required
• Setting up, operating and maintaining blasting and painting equipment
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas
• Performing general workshop duties as required
• Following company procedures, specifications and quality requirements
• Maintaining a strong focus on workplace health and safety at all times
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally:
• Be reliable, punctual and have a strong work ethic
• Have a positive attitude and genuine willingness to learn
• Take pride in producing high-quality work
• Have good attention to detail
• Be able to follow instructions and established procedures
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Be comfortable working in a hands-on industrial environment
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Hold a current driver's licence
Previous experience in industrial painting, abrasive blasting, protective coatings, fabrication, engineering or a similar industrial environment will be highly regarded but is not essential.
