⛳ Gaje’s Golf Day – A Day to Remember 💙

On Monday, the Hydrilla team stepped away from their usual routines and came together for a very special occasion – Gaje’s Golf Day.

With the first anniversary of Gaje’s passing approaching on 4 November, we wanted to take the opportunity to honour his memory, celebrate the legacy he left behind at Hydrilla, and remember his love for golf.

It was a wonderful day filled with golf, laughter, shared memories and plenty of friendly competition – a fitting way to celebrate someone who meant so much to our team.

While Gaje may no longer be with us, the memories, friendships and lasting impact he made continue to be a part of who we are at Hydrilla.

A special day in honour of a special person, who will always be remembered and forever be part of the Hydrilla family.

Here's to you, Gaje! 💙

💦 Have you seen the new Kununurra Leisure Centre?

Hydrilla is proud to have played a key role in the exciting redevelopment of the Kununurra Leisure Centre in Western Australia’s spectacular Kimberley region.

As part of the project, Hydrilla delivered the first 50m Myrtha Pools in the Kimberley, transforming the facility from its former 25m pool into a modern 50m competition pool designed to better serve the growing community.

The redevelopment also includes a multi-purpose leisure pool, creating more opportunities for learn-to-swim programs, recreation, aquatic exercise and accessible water activities.

A fantastic transformation and an exciting new chapter for aquatic recreation in Kununurra! 🏊‍♀️☀️

We never know what someone else might be carrying. A small act of kindness - a smile, a check‑in, a genuine “How are you going?” - can make a real difference.

We also take a moment to honour our friend and team mate Gaje, whose passing is a reminder of how vital these conversations are.

Let’s continue fostering a space people feel seen, supported, and valued. Together, we can make someone’s day a little lighter 🤝💚

Fatigue doesn’t always look like someone falling asleep on the job.

More often, it shows up in subtle ways—slower reaction times, reduced concentration, minor errors, or brief moments of distraction. 😓

While these signs may seem small, they can quickly develop into serious safety risks on site. If you're feeling fatigued, take the time to reset. Have a break, stay hydrated, stretch, and check in with yourself before continuing work.

Managing fatigue is about more than personal wellbeing—it's about protecting your team, maintaining a safe workplace, and ensuring everyone can perform at their best.

Some days, the biggest progress comes from the smallest steps — and that’s more than okay.

Whether you remembered to drink water, took a proper lunch break, stretched between tasks, or simply paused to breathe… those moments count.

Small wins build healthy habits, and healthy habits support a healthier mind.

Today, celebrate the little things 🌱

At Team Hydrilla, we take safety seriously. It’s not just about getting through today’s job - it’s about protecting every tomorrow you still want to enjoy.

Every time you put on your gloves, safety glasses, boots, or hearing protection, you’re doing more than following a rule. You’re choosing to look after your health, your career, and the people who rely on you. Injuries don’t just affect the moment they happen - they can change the path ahead.

Taking a few seconds to gear up is one of the simplest ways to protect your body, your livelihood, and the life you’re building outside of work.
