🚨 Important Solar Victoria Update – Eligibility Changes from 1 July 2026 🚨

Victorian homeowners considering solar panels or heat pump hot water systems should take note of an important upcoming change to the Solar Victoria rebate program.

📅 From 1 July 2026, the combined household income eligibility threshold will be reduced from $210,000 to $150,000 per year for Solar Victoria solar PV and hot water rebates. This change is designed to target support towards lower-income households.

⚠️ What this means for you:

* If your household income is between $150,000 and $210,000, you may no longer qualify after 1 July 2026.
* Eligible customers should consider submitting their applications before the deadline to avoid missing out. Solar Victoria has advised applications should be completed before the end of June.

✅ Other key eligibility requirements remain, including:

* Property value under $3 million
* Owner-occupier eligibility requirements
* Installation by an authorised retailer using approved products
